It is performed with a cutaneous implant of polylactic acid, biocompatible and biodegradable. It does not cause rejection and is eliminated naturally, it lasts 18-24 months. It works similarly to the way facial fillers do in non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments, namely collagen inducers.
